As a key component in the ship's hydraulic system, the installation quality of the marine cylinder is directly related to the safe operation of the ship and the service life of the cylinder. When installing marine cylinders, engineering cylinder manufacturers need to follow some specific requirements and precautions to ensure that the equipment can operate normally and stably. The following are the main requirements and precautions for installing marine cylinders:

1. Installation requirements
Cylinder installation location:
Reasonable site selection: The cylinder should be installed in a location that is easy to maintain and inspect, and avoid installation in areas with severe vibration or high temperature.
Avoid strong vibration: The installation location of the cylinder should be away from components that may cause severe vibration or impact.
Appropriate space: There should be enough space at the installation location of the cylinder to facilitate later repairs, replacement of seals and other maintenance work.
Fixed method:
Fixed firmly: The cylinder must be installed firmly to ensure that it will not be displaced or loosened during operation. It is usually necessary to use a fixing bracket or bolt with sufficient strength to ensure that the connection between the cylinder and the hull structure is firm and reliable.
Shock-absorbing gasket: In order to reduce vibration and noise, shock-absorbing gaskets or rubber gaskets can be used between the cylinder and the bracket.

Pipeline connection:
Correctly connect the oil pipe: The oil inlet and return pipes of the oil cylinder must be correctly connected to ensure that the direction of the oil flow is consistent with the design requirements.
Seal check: Appropriate seals must be used at the pipe interface to ensure no leakage. When connecting the oil pipe, make sure that the oil pipe is not excessively bent or compressed.
Pipeline protection: The oil pipe needs to be arranged neatly to avoid collision or wear of the pipe by other components. Use pipeline protection devices when necessary.
Cylinder position adjustment:

Center installation: When installing the oil cylinder, ensure that the axis of the oil cylinder is aligned with the axis of the moving part to avoid deflection or uneven load.
Piston rod docking with load: The end of the piston rod that contacts the load must be stable and well docked to avoid eccentric loading.
Exhaust and oil filling:
Exhaust: Before installing the oil cylinder, ensure that the air in the system is completely exhausted to avoid air blockage during work and affect the normal operation of the oil cylinder.
Oil filling: After installation, check the oil level of the hydraulic system to ensure that the hydraulic oil is sufficient and the oil quality meets the requirements. The oil must be clean and free of impurities.
Inspection and debugging:
Cylinder test: After installation, perform no-load and load tests to ensure that the cylinder moves smoothly and without abnormalities.
Seal test: Check the effectiveness of the cylinder seals and confirm that there is no oil leakage during the operation of the cylinder.

2. Precautions
Prevent pollution:
During the installation process, avoid oil contamination, and prevent dust, moisture and other impurities from entering the cylinder and hydraulic system.
Use clean tools and cylinders to ensure a clean installation environment.
During operation, avoid contact between the outside of the cylinder and the oil pipe with the pollution source.
Selection of hydraulic oil:
Use hydraulic oil that meets the requirements of the marine hydraulic system. The selection of hydraulic oil should be determined according to the use environment of the ship and the working conditions of the cylinder (such as temperature, pressure, etc.).
Maintenance and inspection:
Regularly check the working status of the cylinder, especially the seals and connecting parts, to avoid wear, leakage and other problems.
Clean the surface and pipeline of the cylinder, and check whether the piston rod of the cylinder is corroded, scratched, etc. to prevent affecting the service life.
Avoid overload and overpressure:
Avoid the cylinder from being subjected to pressure or load exceeding the design load to prevent damage to the cylinder and hydraulic system.
The system pressure needs to be checked regularly to ensure that it is within the normal range.
Temperature control:
Due to the large temperature difference in the working environment of the ship, special attention should be paid to the temperature control of the cylinder and hydraulic system to avoid excessively high or low temperatures affecting the performance of the oil and the normal operation of the system.
Operator training:
The personnel operating the marine cylinder should undergo professional training and be familiar with the working principle and safe operating specifications of the hydraulic system.
By following the above requirements and precautions, the marine cylinder can maintain good performance for a long time, reduce the occurrence of failures, and ensure the safe operation of ship equipment.
